Easter Sunday

Wrote this early, as I do a lot of my posts, and will probably attend midnight mass. This is to remined us of the importance of Easter Sunday. On this day, the human race was saved by Jesus Christ, after being convicted of the original sin of Adam and Eve against the all-good God the Father, and given the promise that the punishment that the human race inherited from its first parent’s original sin (both the spiritual damage to our souls that made humans tend toward evil and the eternal punishment of hell) would be not only forgiven, but all those who loved and obeyed His Son would be made adopted sons and daughters of God.
On this day God the Son the second person of the blessed Trinity rose from the dead after 3 days in the grave proving He was God and had the power to deliver on His promise of eternal life and sonship and daughtership to God the Father (the first person of the blessed Trinity), with the help of the Holy Ghost (the third person of the blessed Trinity) humans that would follow his commandments and love God as they aught with their whole being.

Sacramentals

As I remember it was only as of a few years ago (few being a relative term) that I first heard about sacramentals and subsequently wondered what they were. Well item 1667 from the catechism of the catholic church (1667 CCC) describes sacramentals as :” . . . These are sacred signs which bear a… Continue reading Sacramentals
