The Importance of Family and Faith During Christmas

In a few days it will be Christmas once again. We must remember to make the best of this time of year to reconnect with our family if we are older and to make it a magical time for our children if they are still with us.  We must ensure we stress the reason for the season to our children and the fact that will the birth of Christ began the fight against evil that shall last until the end of time.  We must not forget the Holy Innocents which died because of evil in the world and how this incident threatened to end Jesus’ saving mission before it had even begun.  Make it a priority to attend mass, and to pray together for our country and our children.  We must try to make this time the opposite of what it was during the days of the slaying of the Holy Innocents, a time of joy, laughter and reconnection to strengthen our children against the fight against evil that is almost daily clear in our lives even in, America, one of the freest nations that has ever existed.
