Since the opinions in most of these publications go against popular politics in the Catholic Church plus are after the Imprimatur was “in vogue,” (the Imprimatur was in vogue for about 400 years from about the time of the council of Trent to about 1968, though it existed to some extent even after that) only the last one, A Catechism of Modernism, carry an official approbation. For an encyclical on what is possibly the root of the crisis – modernism, seen by pope Pius X, see Pascendi Dominici Gregis on the Vatican website. Once before, in church history, during the Arian Heresy one man strongly disagreed with the proposition that Jesus Christ was not God, St. Athanasius, and his thesis that Jesus Christ was actually God eventually was accepted as Catholic, Christian Dogma. The first distinguished Prelate to recognize the damage being done to the Church (Pope Pius X first saw it coming, implemented the oath against modernism, and kick out as many heretics as he could justify but it had not succeeded yet in being implemented, i.e. no damage had yet been done), and why, was one Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. Like St. Athanasius, for the longest time, he stood alone among bishops. He wrote a book entitled “An Open Letter to Confused Catholics,” highlighting the concerns he had based on the fact that the Church had seen a similar revolution, taking the same steps the conciliar church has tried to take, to unsuccessfully try to change the mass in the Catholic Church 400 years earlier with Father Martin Luther (yes once a Roman Catholic priest) in Germany and Bishop Cranmer (again also once a Roman Catholic Bishop) in England.

The next book is one that is helpful in understanding the causes, politics, theological leanings of those precipitating the crisis as well as those traditionalists resisting the novelties being introduced by those precipitating the crisis and the legality of the stance exhibited by the traditionalist resistors. The resistors stand, as I see it, on St. Paul’s words to the Hebrews in chapter 13 verses 8-9: “Jesus Christ, yesterday, and today: and the same for ever. Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meats: which have not profited those that walk in them.” The title of the book is “The Catechism of the Crisis in the Church” by Father Matthias Gaudron, and its identifying information is as follows:

The next few books are showing possible infiltrators of the church, namely masons, communists and insiders (read here disgruntled priests and bishops who don’t like certain “hard to sell” dogmas and doctrines and are trying to change dogma, on paper, but the Truth now is the Truth forever and cannot be changed – the Truth of the Catholic Church which is Jesus Christ) to entice more people to “join the Catholic Church” (really the locally watered down easier to follow loosely interpreted conciliar church) to be able to get more money-contributing lay people. .

A series of three books on the Liturgical Revolution, seeking the origins of the changes to the Tridentines Latin mass beginning with a book that shows that the same method was used about 400 years before by Bishop Cranmer to inculcate new dogma into Catholicism to start the Anglican religion. Basically, he moved the church of England away from the idea of sacrifice and apostolic Church to one of celebration and one secularly run by kings.
The first book is “Cranmer’s Godly Order” by Michael Davies

The second book (Volume two) describes how the Second Vatican Council was systematically taken over by a predominately German cabal to guide the council to putting in vague phraseology along with solid dogma to later use in a preplanned way to subvert the order of the new mass. It also talks about how in part ”. . . the liturgical reform had for one of its principal aims the abolition of actions and formulas of mystical signification,. . .” it also acknowledges the fact that “it is a logical consequence that its authors had to vindicate the use of the vernacular in divine worship. This isn the eyes of the sectarians a most important item.” (page 299 in Pope John’s Council by Michael Davies).. The book [GB1] is entitled “Pope John’s Council” by Michael Davies.

Much of the crisis the church faces today are because of the great reliance of the words of the pope as “infallible.” The doctrine of infallibility of the pope only applies in certain narrow instances when they pope declares he’s speaking infallibly from the seat of Peter “ex cathedra.” Pope’s have opinions but the New Testament tells us we must believe only what is given to us in the Old Testament unless modified by the New Testament as well as all of the New Testament (Galatians 1:8). The best way I like to sum up this line of scripture is: if someone says something opposite from what is in scripture, not necessarily if neutral or borderline, then he or she is not speaking for God. A 2 volume set that can help the average lay person sort out what we need to know in these confusing times which I can only assume is God’s chastisement of mankind for, at least in the United States, things like the uptick in abortions, allowing so much license to criminals, allowing sex trafficking due to border laxity, allowing the poisoning of American children from fentanyl, again due to boarder laxity, increase in divorce and single parent households leading to the neglect and abuse of children etc., is “The Road from Hyperpapalism to Catholicism” by Peter A. Kwasniewski.
