The first book has no official approbations but were subjects for meditations given to His Eminence Richard Cardinal Cushing by various religious communities and he brought them together to be published, basically under his name sometime in 1959, by the daughters of St. Paul, Boston, Massachusetts, my copy being the fourth printing of the second edition. The title is “Meditations for Religious.” with a Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 60-148.
The second book helps the more technically oriented look into the impact grace, creativity, personality and psychology play into religious life. It deals with not only pure psychological effects but triggers for those effects such as aloneness and hunger. The name of the book is “Creative Personality in Religious Life” by Sister Marian Dolores, S.N.J.M. From the preface we read that “This book is an outgrowth of a series of lectures given at the Institute of Mental Health for Religious at St. Louis University in Jun, 1960, at the invitation of Rev. Aloysisus h. Scheller, S.J., director of the School of Social Work.” It carries a copyright of 1963 from the publisher Sheed & Ward, inc. the Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 63-17138The approbations are as follows:

The third book answers some questions which those young ladies contemplating the religious life may have with regard to it, answered by a retreat master. The name of the book is” Question Box for Sisters” by Fr. Winfrid Herbst, S.D.S.
