With elections being so close and, in my opinion, the results of socialism being so catastrophic, I suggest reading the following book to understand why it has failed every one of the numerous times it has been tried, Russia, China, Cuba, Cambodia and Venezuela being among of the most recent failures.

I think there are three parties thanks to Trump. He is the most polarizing figure in recent if not all of American history. Fortunately, I think this is a good thing. The Democratic party, who was for some reason scared of someone Hillary Clinton thought had essentially no chance of winning before his win in 2016, has become so scared of the president and republicans, after just one loss (the small red wave) that it let a 3rd party virus – the DSA, invade it. If the Democratic party is to survive, they will have to grow a pair of guts and distinguish themselves from the Democrat Socialist of America (DSA), and go back to being the Democratic party – pre Bernie Sanders and pre OAC. There are those associated with the DSA that said out loud that America deserved 9/11. My question is if we are so bad and, they believe that, why don’t they move to some country that does not deserve to be hurt that way. They also say that the United States is racist, yet we elected a black man for 2 consecutive terms for the highest office in the land and arguably the most powerful person on the planet. And as for the stupid, stupid, demands for reparations, how can money compensate for body parts and limbs cut off of former slaves. Most people demanding this, don’t even have ancestors that were slaves, I do have biological ancestors that were slaves, and I say the reparation of lost limbs, lost body parts and lost lives has already been paid in the civil war, one of the only wars in history that was fought, if not completely at least by at least 50% of the voters in the North for either the abolition of slavery or curtailment of the expansion of slavery by 1860. If the Democrats are to survive with their political personality in tact, they need to concentrate on kicking the Socialist out of their party and insisting they compete in the national vote to elect leaders as a separate party. Let us be clear, their rhetoric indicates they are for putting more Justices in the Supreme court to help push forward their agenda through lawfare. They are for getting rid of the electoral college to insure that only the big cities have a say in the running of our country and refuse to give farmers who feed us any say in governing, is likely to lead to wide spread starvation, should they succeed, as was the case in North Korea and China under Chairman Mao.
In my opinion, Democrats need to forget about Mr. Trump completely, take him off the ballot, and concentrate on getting their message and agenda out there on how they are going to improve on all the good things common sense people, in my opinion, see have been done by the current administration. I think common sense Americans want to take control of their children’s education and not have the government either push woke or conservative ideology but teach kids the basics like civics so they can be good citizens, reading/writing so they can communicate clearly to be able to get jobs and lead teams and finally learn mathematics so we are no longer last among developed country in this area and in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) in general.
The Republicans have a much easier road to hoe if they want success. The DSA have brought the Democrats so far left that people are leaving the Democratic party to be come independents and even to switch completely over to republican. Republicans have to remember if they like Trumps agenda and voted for him and have gotten what they wanted from his presidency, they need to remember he got half of everything they wanted him to do because of the big beautiful bill and that took congress to accomplish. If the Republicans don’t win the house and senate again Trump’s agenda, the agenda they voted Mr. Trump in for, will not get accomplished. This means if you voted for Trump for his agenda if you don’t vote for people in the senate and the house that will support his agenda you won’t get his agenda. So you see, in essence for Republicans, Trump (really Trumps agenda which is why you turned out to vote for him) is on the agenda.
In summary, Republicans and those independents that agree with Trumps common sense agenda just all need to show up to vote.

Found using google search on “what is title 9?”) simply need to convince the independents that they do have common sense by backing off of their more seemingly non-common sensical stances and clarifying a more sensical agenda, and actually pursuing that agenda because if they lie, I think they may never be believed again!
Finally, the DSA needs to stand on its own two feet and repeat what they believe and stick to it. It is my opinion that no one wants follow their ideas of destroying our democracy, but I could be wrong. In the last century at least 6 well known socialist governments/dictators have succeeded in starving or killing millions of their people to include Pol Pot in Cambodia, Maduro in Venezuela, Chairman Mao in China, Hitler in Germany,, Stalin in Russia and Fidel Castro in Cuba. In all these cases one strongman rises in power and stays ruling with an iron hand until he dies.
The election of November 2026 could be a turning point for our Constitutional Republic if people in our country are not careful in their choices. Should our constitutional republic disappear and become socialist so to, I would imagine, our invaluable freedom of religion might have a very high chance of disappearing!
The blog is a few days early this week in remembrance of Charlie Kirk who died one year ago today as well as in remembrance of the death of about 3000 Americans 25 years ago, tomorrow, at the twin towers in New York.
Charlie Kirk was a man who thought engaging verbally with people as often as possible, even those who might not believe as he did, to high light the greatness of our country and God was a good thing. Unfortunately, he died because some people disagreed with him and thought the only way to engage with those who believed as he did was to kill them. This method of engagement, killing people who don’t agree with you, is the opposite of what Charlie Kirk evidently believed in. Hitler killed people who did not agree with him, Stalin killed people who did not agree with him and in first century Palestine religious leaders killed someone else, a young rabbi named Jesus Christ, who tried to bring peace and happiness to people but disagreed with those religious leaders. He tried to show that their religion was created to show men how to treat each other and be happy in this world and the world to come. Unfortunately, Thousands died in the young rabbi’s movement for about 300 years at which time it brought great new things to the world like hospitals, orphanages, colleges (though the first colleges were started in Arab countries but did not expand to a network as was the case in Christianity) and schools for young children, bringing civilizing influences and literacy to the modern world.
Charlie Kirk tried to, in my opinion, expose the common sense of his viewpoint to others to try to defuse the violence that was building up in the United States that eventually resulted in his death. Hopefully, he reminded us that we must always try to establish a dialog to enable people to see peace and love of your fellow countrymen, is preferable to a society that strives to silence people who do not share their beliefs by killing them. The reason our country is so great, in my opinion, is conflicting views and ideas can compete, peacefully to bring about better views, beliefs and inventions. When we look at the writings of the founders of the United States of America and why they constructed our government and constitution the way they did, we see there were many competing ideas discussed but they worked together to craft a government that was fair to all and that would be flexible enough to change as technology changed and new ideas were formed in the future.
But switching to an even more somber note, from 9/11 we see what can happen when a group of people think that violence is the answer. On 9/11 America lost about 3,000 people and another 1,900 soldiers in the subsequent war but the enemy lost over3.7 million, three orders of magnitude more than America did. Surprise attacks on America, as in this case, has always been a very bad idea. Enemies who attack another country first, for the purposes of getting more land or more power rarely succeed (as in WWII) in winning though some times in making no gains (as in the Korean conflict) in this day and age.
Except in the case of an unstable power trying to attain a nuclear capability, attacking another country should always be an action of last resort. As for killing another citizen of your country simply because you disagree with him or her, that is something that should never happen, especially in a supposedly civilized nation such as the United States. There must be peaceful coexistence for all ideas in the Unted States.
Thanksgiving, coming on Thursday this week, is a mainly North American holiday (though other countries celebrate something similar) that falls on the 3rd Thursday of November in the United States and on the 2nd Monday in October in Canada.
The United States holiday was selected to be close to the date that the Mayflower landed in “the New World,” celebrating, I assume, that they did not die at sea, and successfully made it to North America.
In Canada it is celebrated for a different reason, and Thanksgiving is in October in Canada because it corresponds to the earlier harvest season in Canada’s colder climate. The holiday’s date was officially set to the second Monday in October in 1957 to ensure good weather for outdoor activities and travel before winter sets in.
Thanksgiving has traditionally been a day to get together with family to thank God for the blessing we have received in the past year, at least in the United States, which makes sense because it took the prior 3 months to get from England to Cape Cod, and back then, in wooden ships successful sea travel was an iffy situation at best.
Even though this is considered a secular holiday, it is a good time to get with friends and family to reminisce and get together and try to renew family closeness, especially for older families, empty nests, where the children are adults and moved away from home. We should also use this time to especially thank God for our family and the blessings he has given us in the past!
Many in the United States probably do not understand how president Trump was able to bring apparent peace in the Middle East, how ever temporary, which was not accomplished, though tried by numerous other presidents (Nixon – even with the genius of Henry Kissinger, Carter, Regan, Bush one, Clinton, Bush two, Obama and Biden). Now I’m not pretending to be some sort of genius but I am able to give a point of view different from many who oppose Trump simply based on his personality without taking into account both his intelligence and life experience. Barbarians and brutal empires like that of Persia and, maybe the most brutal of “civilized” empires was Rome. The mindset of “civilization” and barbarians, including the Jewish people (the chosen people of the one true God of whom Jesus Christ was the messiah), was that of an eye for and eye in the best of civilizations and extreme retaliation out of all proportion to what was done, or extreme subjugation and torture for a conquered people. Christ arrival stopped a lot of this in Europe, about 400 years after his death beginning with the First Catholic Emperor – Constantine, of the Roman Empire (Conquering not bottom up but top down and though one or two Emperors after him were anti-Catholic). But, without ever going to war the Roman Empire was Conquered completely by Catholicism, the fulfilment of the Jewish religion (the conquest of Rome being the outcome Jews thought would be brought by the Messiah though after it happened and even today, I assume since violence was not involved and being stuck in the mindset of things before Christ, choosing not to evolve with the messianic message of love He brought) .
But Islam stopped Catholicism’s progress toward brotherly love in the in the middle east and almost the whole world by Islams push to conquer the world. The Catholic crusades stopped them and beyond that Catholic missionaries expanded it to the New World – North and South America. As one can see though, thanks to the watered down philosophical approach of Protestant Christianity, not only is 1/7th of the world Catholic but almost 1/3rd follow much of Christs philosophy but only part (that priest and bishops must have been sent by the apostles or their selected replacements – Acts 1:15-26; that the only way for the difficult task of having your sins forgiven is through a priest or bishop – John 20:23; difficulty of sins being forgiven – Matthew 9:5, Luke 5:23; indissolubility of marriage and inability to remarry as long as the other spouse is still alive – Matthew 19:1-12 etc.) of the faith espoused by the Catholic Church which was the only manifestation of Christianity for 1500 years, a millennia and a half.
So what bearing has this on Trumps success in the middle east and his success at freeing the hostages and brining the conflict to the end? Well, everything. In Trump’s world of real estate, it’s a dog-eat-dog world where you might need to exterminate (i.e. make go bankrupt) the competition, which is equivalent, in terms of people, killing the competition. This is the same mindset that existed in the world before Christ and Catholicism. Though they are not blood thirsty barbarians of old, this is the mindset still prevalent in the middle east. Also in the world of real estate, especially in the United States, where though knowing people does help, you need to deal with a myriad of other competing factors to include, building permits, Federal environmental regulations, city regulations, local residents, labor unions, building codes, political consideration etc. If he is trying to build something overseas, he must deal with a whole new set of requirements. This means he must be able to multitask at a very high level and deal with very complex problems. Also to build his hotels he has to have delt with many overseas political entities including the UAE, Turkey and Isreal and therefore is acquainted with the way they think and have probably forged friendships with some of them.
His dealings with the middle east and Europe and the principals in those countries combined with the fact that he went to a military school for high school makes him uniquely qualified to work deals in the middle east where a war-oriented mentality and personal friendships are very important. In a place where a strongman persona and action speak louder than words, he knew to get the job done he needed to prove the United States’ commitment, military power and resolve. To prove his commitment he worked with Iran to try to get them to stop their nuclear program because he knew that was making everybody in the middle east skidish and had they succeeded it probably would have ignited a middle east arms race, owing to the fact that everyone there has so much money and could at least instantly by some from either India or Pakistan, to insure their oil assets could stay safe. He probably knew they would be adamant about keeping their nuclear capability, seeing that the past administrations had been unwilling to enforce the existing sanctions if they crossed the line as well as unwilling to push back in any significant way when they did eventually cross the line, and rightly interpreted this as the unwillingness to act of the last administration. Unfortunately for them they assumed this new administration was no different. President Trump basically gave them all the time in the world to come to the table to shut down their nuclear program. He gave them a dead line. During that time he allowed their top nuclear scientists to be eliminated. When nothing happened the day of the dead line they probably assumed nothing was going to happen and relaxed. But a few days later he totally destroyed their nuclear capability.
This gave him credibility in the middle east that he was a man of his word and they could rely on him to enforce any agreement the United States signed on to without hesitation and in spite of world opinion. Now, I myself attended ROTC in college and I know if I were able to get to this point, when I met with the world leadership with Hamas in attendance, I would let Hamas know in no uncertain terms that Iran no longer had the capability to support them because of the extreme sanctions being levied on them by the international community, and both Hezbollah and the Houthi’s had been decimated and would unlikely be able to aid them and that if they did not release the hostages I would authorize the Israeli military and the Massad to do whatever and go where ever needed to eliminate them completely, giving them any augmentation from seal team, special forces or rangers as well as the CIA and NSA to complete the job.
I get the impression that many people feel him having changed the name of the Department of Defense to its previous name the Department of War was bellicose. This is what people don’t understand about deterrence. If all you have to do to prevent wars is make it appear you are bellicose, why not? If by changing a name you prevent the death of thousands or millions, why not? If the next, or some future, president does not project the same toughness this president does, as long as he does not change the name of this Department, it will give enemies pause, before thinking about war or doing something that precipitates war with the US or its allies. Everybody, I think, knows the United States basically wants to be left alone to grow, peacefully and enjoy life, with cordial associations with our neighbors to the benefit of everyone. We want to have fun discover new things, explore, go to other planets, explore the oceans and worship as we please, being a Christian country, remembering “blessed is the peace maker” from the Beatitudes given to us by Jesus Christ.
Most of the past American Presidents working with the middle east had neither experience dealing with people outside the United States nor military training of any sort and were woefully unprepared to deal with anyone that did not have a purely western or American mindset. Many of the things that work in Europe and the United States do not work in a society that does not thoroughly subscribe to the Catholic/Christian mindset. This is also true when dealing with communist and states that are heavily inhabited by narco terrorists.
The problem the democrats have in my opinion, as (full disclosure) a republican, is that they have abandoned common sense. I feel they are blinded by an obsession with the use of sex purely for pleasure, with conception of a child an inconvenient nuisance and the perception that sex in some way drives most, if not all, human decisions and that a majority of the electorate shares this view.
In Genisis 1:24-28, says:
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creatures in its kind, cattle and creeping things, and beasts of the earth, according to their kind. And it was so done.
And God mad the beast of the earth according to their kinds, and cattle, and every thing that creepth on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
And he said: Let us make man in our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.
And God created man to his own image. To the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.
And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth.
This is the mindset of those that purport to follow the Christian philosophy, which comprises approximately 62% of the of the United States population if you search google using the phrase “what percentage of the us population is christian or catholic”. This, of course, points to the fact that the majority should not, if they follow the bible, follow the sex obsessed thinking of what most democrats seem to be following
In the last verse above quote God gives his first command: “increase and multiply,” not as democrats seem to champion, “have as much sexual pleasure as you can, doing everything you can to prevent or terminate any pregnancy that is not desired.” This illustrates sex, for Christians at least, is, or should be, mainly for reproduction not pleasure. Pleasure is a pleasant “reward” God built into the “system” when He created mankind, for producing new life for God. Contraception and abortion does not support the God’s command of “increase and multiply.”
The whole idea of transitioning from male to female or vice versa or that there is more than two genders goes against the fact that God created them male and female. Trying to “transition” young children, under the age of reason, is barbaric. It of course is just mutilation of a young child who does not know what they are requesting to do.
This male/female thing also extends to sports. Transitioned/transitioning males or any male for that matter, should never play against females, especially in full contact sports like boxing and the other martial arts. Pairing them this way invites serious injury or death. By transitioned/transitioning males I mean any one with a Y chromosome and by female I mean anyone with all X chromosome. This definition covers even the very rare case of hermaphrodites.
Taking the choice of where the children go to school away from parents is also against the bible. Colossian 3:18-21 says: “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” Parents are in charge of their children, according to the bible, not the government and should determine what is best for them, whether it be the books they read or the schools they attend. The most stupid thing for democrats, when it comes to who should decide where children y go to school or if they should transition, is that children don’t vote and sidelining the parents leads to parents getting mad at their power being taken away and they are the ones who can vote!
Let us review:
Bottom line: more voters support the opposite view of the arguably popular democratic view! Common sense is if more people support a particular view you need to support that view if you want to get re-elected!
Before he was shot I knew relatively little about Charlie Kirk. It’s been more than a week since his death but I would be remiss if I did not pay tribute to this man who I got to know through finally watching some of his videos. I think I donated $100 at least once, in October of 2024, to his Turning Point USA organization while he was alive but I plan to donate at least once more and to write at least one more post concerning his videos. Turning Point USA sounded like a good thing to donate to given the mailing I received, which, honestly, I do not remember. I, like him and evidently most of America was fighting to bring common sense back into American politics. From his videos I finally saw what a kind, non-confrontational (in my opinion), style of argumentation he had, to try and politely convince young voters (evidently with a lot of success) of his opinion and try, through logic and gentleness try to change theirs. His was an attempt to show two things in my opinion, 1) how unkind and even barbaric some of the non-conservative positions were 2) and that the only true way to both look at the world and interact with the world to change it for the better is the way Jesus Christ did.
I would ask that you pray for his soul and possibly offer a mass for him and the young family he left behind. I think he was studying to become a Catholic; to join his Catholic wife in faith and hope and believe he is either at rest in heaven or eventually, after a time in purgatory, will be at rest in heaven.
