As I said in an earlier post the Great Courses’ business model is switching from making and selling tapes, CDs and DVDs (physical media) to selling streaming content. I am out lining courses I have bought in physical media while hopefully some copies can be ordered off of Amazon, ebay and other sellers over the next few months. Currently this company is running a sale to from what I understand, have unlimited access to their content starting at a reduced monthly rate of $1.99 for the first 2 months in the U.S. rising to $9.99/month for and unlimited subscription after that. You can also buy titles for about $50 that you can stream anytime without a subscription. Everything I bought directly from them in physical media, is available for me to stream from their website. Physical media I am now buying off of Amazon will not be available to me through the website unless I either buy a subscription or buy a particular title.
In my opinion this would be a good time to take advantage of this offer and see if you like the content or just find the content you like and binge watch that for about 2 months and then terminate your subscription, possibly buying anything you might like. This company is going the way of providers; amazon prime etc. so they will not need the evidently more costly logistics train and just create and store content in servers and distribute it on the internet.
I’m buying the ones contained on physical media because though it may be unlikely, the company may go out of business or may be temporarily unreachable through the Internet when I need access to the content, possibly for my family in the future. A catastrophic occurrence like an earthquake (meteor strike, civil unrest or war) could also destroy their servers leading to a prolonged outage of a month or so until they can reload backups. Yes, I am overly cautious.
I am printing out a list of titles I currently have at my location that I can find (I have a lot of them since I am using them in some part to write these blogs in parallel with looking at the website) or i am currently in the process of buying, below. I am currently in the process of trying to move to another house. As a parent I would examine the content before allowing access to children. I have not watched all the courses but I have seen complaints on line of iffy material when it comes to literary images and only a few that I have seen that show images of any sort.
This is the Comprehensive Catalog of Course to give people who take advantage of the Black Friday 2 month deal to see what was available before deciding to commit for a couple of months for a lower price and decide if there is something they want to buy or if they want to subscribe.

13) Great Courses on Mathematics for the most part are overviews for the general public. If you want to actually learn to do the type of problems covered might I suggest the Khan academy at Khan Academy | Free Online Courses, Lessons & Practice. Though it is free it works on donations so if you can donate. I have also heard Beestar is good at Beestar.org – Math and Reading for Kids for the more basic math. Math appears to be free but I think you need to pay for English Language Arts (ELA) which is how they probably get some of their funding.

There is such a wide variety of titles I have because I hoped to either watch or have my grand children watch if they might have a question on any particular subject! I know my archive is not complete but it has a lot of the famous places, things, concepts and people in many subjects.
