Cabrini and the Shift: New Trailers from Angel Studios

The Sound of Freedom is a movie I wrote a review on a few weeks ago.  It was very pertinent to an attempt to help the people of the Unted States discover its dark side and abolish that dark side.  Specifically, it was centered on exposing the child sex trafficking by criminal cartels and that America is the top consumer of this latter-day slave trade.  It was made by Angel Studios, Inc., who also made the TV series The Chosen about the life of Christ.

During the previews before Sound of Freedom, Angel Studios showed the trailers of 2 movies they were making scheduled for release next. Based on these previews, the apparent names of these two new movies are, Cabrini and The Shift.

Cabrini appears to be based on the life of the first citizen of the United States to be recognized as a Saint by the Catholic Church. Frances Xavier Cabrini or Mother Cabrini was responsible for the establishment of over 67 institutions to include, hospitals, orphanages and schools.

The movie is scheduled for March of 2024. For more on mother Cabrini see the you tube on her at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFodxDrNxWE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS2QH2rc8ls.

The Shift’s story is kind of nebulous from the trailer here: https://www.angel.com/watch/the-shift#get-involved . It is a supposedly a science fiction about a man being shifted to another dimension apparently after and accident. But Catholics believe that the hardest fight of one’s life is in the last hour and why the Hail Mary ends “Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.”  The devil understands that if he does not rob you of eternal happiness at the hour of your death he has lost the opportunity to enjoy seeing you tortured at his leisure for all eternity, so if he has not come to own your soul by then, some think he comes personally to try to take it then.  This is hinted at in Matthew 27:46 when Jesus shouts, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”  Based on this assumption, and the religious themed plots of a lot of Angel Studios story lines, I think this movie might be about one mans final fight for his immortal soul at the end of his life, told in a sci-fi scenario, so as to make it both thought provoking and interesting and not pedantic and preachy, in a word, entertaining.
